Mandatory tachograph replacement

At first glance, perhaps intimidating if you own an old vehicle and transport gravel or clay to a friend for construction, so what about an analog tachograph? The answer is nothing. The following is a selection from the regulation where it is clearly defined.

1. Until 31.12.2024 – replace all analog tachographs and all tachographs of the 1st generation (manufactured and installed from 1.6.2006 to 30.8.2019) – on vehicles in international truck transport
2. Until 21.08.2025 – replace all so-called intelligent tachographs of the 1st generation (manufactured and installed from 1.9.2019 to 20.8.2023 – GEN.2) – on vehicles in international truck transport.
3. From 21.08.2023 – all newly manufactured vehicles over 3.5 tons must have a GEN.2 version 2 tachograph installed, also called Smart 2 – vehicles of any domestic and international transport
4. From 01.07.2025 – all vehicles from 2.5 to 3.5 tons – on vehicles in international transport
